My favorite part of high school was being in band because the band got me to engage in extracurricular activities which I probably wouldn’t have done if I wasn't in the band. So, it got me to be involved and to participate in other activities at Foothill.

Fondest Memories at GUHS
I played soccer for four years. I remember my senior night for soccer and I remember being recognized and, most importantly, I remember having the support from my coaches and my teammates. It was such a celebration, because not only was it the soccer team, it was also within our community. It was like my community was going to support each soccer player because they have been representing the school, Grant, whenever we were competing against other schools. The support system from our coaches and the community … it really made me realize how important it is to have such a support system like our school does, and that really was one of my highlights of my high school career.

Fondest Memories at GUHS
I’ve had really good teachers at Grant. In my sophomore year, I had this really amazing teacher, Mr. Tucker. Mr. Tucker was amazing because he treated his whole class equally; everyone was given the same opportunities and everyone was getting the same attention. He just put so much emphasis and so much care into all the students and the curriculum. And that for me was my turning point in my high school experience, it allowed me to view school beyond just taking classes and making grades. It made me view school as: I love learning about this subject, I want to learn more and I want to continue my education.

Fondest Memories at Highlands
I’ve had a very good experience at Highlands; lots of great teachers and coaches. Many teachers have inspired and helped me pursue and fulfill my dreams. The teachers and counselors have always been there for me with their support, especially since I was taking a lot of hard classes—five AP classes in my junior year. It was a lot and it was a rough year for me. I have made a lot of good friends throughout my four years of high school. I played sports all four years—soccer, volleyball and tennis.

Fondest Memories at Highlands
Ever since I came to Highlands I have felt at home. My teachers are so inspiring. They challenge me in so many different ways. My coaches (basketball and volleyball) push me to be the best that I can be. At Highlands I have become a better student, a better friend, a better daughter and a better athlete. I am sad that it’s coming to an end. I’ve learned so much from everyone here. Everyone has been so supportive and understanding. They always make me smile and laugh.

Fondest Memories at Pacific
The fact that it’s a smaller school makes it easier to concentrate, a lot easier to focus on everything you’re assigned. That has helped me so much. It's easier to focus when you can actually talk to the people around you. When you’re surrounded by hundreds of people it’s just a lot more difficult for your voice to get through. When you ask for help, it’s easier for teachers to focus on you.

Fondest Memories at RLHS
I really like the track and cross country team. I felt that sophomore year and freshman year, especially, I was with a really close-knit group of people that made me comfortable at school. I also like just forming connections with my specific teachers ... just knowing that some teachers and staff members are, like, cool to come to when you need help. I made good friends.

Fondest Memories at Vista
I definitely like this school much better than the last school I went to, which was a bigger school and more populated. The main thing I love about being here is it's small and the connection with staff members. It’s just easier to get to know them here because it's a small school. The connections I have made just made me feel more motivated to get my work done. I think everyone at Vista is really nice and chill.

Fondest Memories at Vista
Basketball season, great moments, great team just for me to have the opportunity to compete in some type of league. As a kid, I always wanted to play basketball and for me to have that opportunity here, it’s definitely a moment I will remember, for sure. I definitely like the atmosphere at Vista. I don’t like a lot of attention focused on me and the school is very low key. I like the people … they really help you.
