The EL Department provides a multitude of services to all TRUSD schools. Our main focus is to contribute to the success of our schools with our great diversity of students. We service 40% of the TRUSD student population.

Do you have a question about supporting your English learner students? The ELSD Instructional Support Team is available for office hours. We've updated our office hours link! We are now using Calendly to help organize our office hours. We are happy to answer questions or talk with you about how best to meet your EL needs including instructional strategies, lesson planning, etc.
The English Learner Services Department is happy to introduce the Interactive Newcomer Notebook (INN) to Twin Rivers teachers and staff. The Interactive Newcomer Notebook provides vital information to support Newcomers and their families. Whether you are looking for a curriculum, want to provide language help to families, need to know how to request translations, or want to learn about stages of languages development, it can all be found in the INN, along with so much more.
