Welcome to the Vineland School site at 6450 20th St. in Rio Linda, California. We are a busy place. Our campus houses many programs.
Vineland Preschool is a special education site that serves 3-5 year olds with special needs.
Pathways Community Day school serves students from Kindergarten through 6th grade who need special support with academics, attendance and behavior. We are also the home of a State Head Start Program and a County Infant Care Program.
Our main campus is currently being occupied by guest schools whose students leave their home campuses during the renovation process and spend 5 or 6 months with us. Currently Sierra View is our visiting school.
Our Multipurpose Room is a lively place that serves children during the day and our District inservice program all hours of the afternoon and evening.
We love the extended district family and welcome the community to come in and get to know us.
Mission Statement
At Vineland School we believe that all children are capable of success. Our mission is to provide a safe and supportive environment in which all children can develop the tools necessary to achieve individual success.
Curriculum Development
All curriculum development in the Twin Rivers Unified School District is based on the California State Content Standards and Frameworks. Curriculum guides are updated regularly by the Educational Services Department, to align with the state standards, district goals, and the statewide assessment program.
School Leadership
Leadership at Vineland Elementary is a responsibility shared between district administration, the principal, instructional staff, students, and parents. The district’s emphasis is on a well-balanced and rigorous core curriculum at all grade levels. Instructional programs are aligned with state and district standards. Leadership duties were assumed by Principal Sara Haycox. Staff members and parents participate on various committees that make decisions regarding the priorities and direction of the educational plan to ensure instructional programs are consistent with students’ needs and comply with district goals.
Parent & Community Involvement
Parents support the preschool classes, Federal Preschool Program, and the behavior support classes for elementary students. Parents attend meetings to discuss the team program plan for their preschool or elementary-aged student. Parents of the preschoolers regularly participate in fieldtrips for their children.
