Principal's Message
I am William Brown, the new principal at Foothill High School. I am a longtime member of this community and have spent the past ten years educating young people in this district. I am very excited to be a part of educating your students. My door is open; I look forward to your suggestions, concerns and presence on our campus. Please feel free to visit anytime.
Foothill High hours of operation will be Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. We are available by walk-in visit, phone call or e-mail. Every Wednesday will be Late Start to allow our staff time for professional development.
Start time for our school day on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays is 7:30 a.m.
Our Campus
- FACIT (Foothill Academy Careers Information Technology: Computer Technology Academy) – A school within a school with an emphasis on computer technology. Core academic subjects are also part of the FACIT curriculum. Students take all their classes together with the same teachers until they graduate.
- AP/Honors/College Prep classes open to all students.
- Exemplary GATE Program.
- AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) – A college readiness course with a focus on scholastic advancement and college success.

Competitive Athletics
Mustang boys basketball won the State Division III championship in 1994 and 2003, to go along with their three Sac-Joaquin Division III section titles from 1997, 2002 and 2003. Foothill wrestling also hosts one of the biggest tournaments in Sacramento, the Tim Brown Memorial, and won the Capital Valley Conference championship in 2001, 2003, 2005 and 2007.
