Best Practices to Consider when building your testing calendar:

  • Schedule a boot camp during the spring break and invite your far below basic and below basic students to participate.
  • Send home packets during the spring break to help students retain the skills they have been taught.
  • Only schedule testing on Tuesday through Thursday so students are more likely to be in attendance.
  • For high schools, schedule AP students to take the STAR prior to spring break so they can focus on studying for AP exams during the break.
