Purpose

To deliver to the the Participating Teacher quality services that will enhance the academic achievement and overall growth of students and retain well-qualified teachers in the profession.

Requirements for Completing the BTSA Program

  • SCOE Induction Orientation
  • Weekly Conversations (40 hours total)
  • Professional Development (24 hours minimum)
  • SCOE Benchmark Seminars (quarterly)
  • Professional Induction Presentation (End-of-Year Event)


CSUS Units (Optional)

  • Six (6) units per year at a cost of $360
  • Request registration through SCOE after March 15, 2010
  • Must document 24 hours of Professional Development connected to IPP
  • All BTSA tasks must be complete to receive units
  • Deadline for registration is June 10, 2011
