Safety Alert

There have been recent incidents in our area of people coming onto school sites and posing as parents, asking directions, claiming to be enrolling their children and other seemingly innocent activities - only for the school staff to find that their property has been stolen.

You can call TRPD Dispatch at 916-286-4875 to report any suspicious people or activities at your school site.

Facilities Committee Recommendations and Updates

In an effort to align school facilities and programs with current budget conditions and community wishes, a group of 24 volunteers representing parents, teachers, classified staff, and a variety of district departments met over a course of two months and developed a set of preliminary recommendations for review at a series of community forums in December 2009 and January 2010.  As a result of the input of the more than 600 community members, the Facilities Committee revised their recommendations.

Our Board of Trustees will consider the revised recommendations along with any additional recommendations or considerations from the Superintendent during meetings on January 28, February 2, and February 16. We would like to thank the volunteers on our Facilities Advisory Committee for their work over the past several months and all of the 600 community members who provided us with valuable feedback during this engagement process. We welcome additional community input at one of our board meetings or by sending an email to sfac@twinriversusd.org.

Have you been hearing about us?

Who are we and what is Support CA Kids?

We are NOT a political action committee and are not supported by any special interest group. However, we are a group of concerned citizens from the Twin Rivers and Elk Grove School Districts and communities who have become increasingly concerned with public education funding and the lack of priority our elected officials seem to place on it. On January 5, 2010 the Board of Trustees of Twin Rivers USD adopted Resolution No. 157 endorsing SupportCaKids  and our efforts in the TRUSD community.

Our aim is to orchestrate a statewide mail-in campaign reminding our legislators that we are their constituents and as citizens, parents and taxpayers we demand that they prioritize and adequately fund our children's public education.

The responsibility lies on all of us -  Twin Rivers USD parents, grandparents, friends, neighbors, to advocate for our children, and the children across this great State, by reminding  the legislators whom we elected to focus on the best interests of the our children.

Help secure your children's future by protecting public funding for education. Please join SupportCAKids today.

  • Join us in sending our legislators a clear message by contacting your representative via email (preferred method because they get it immediately); phone or US mail and tell them you want them to prioritize education and stop the cuts to public education funding.
  • Let your family, friends and school community know about our effort and sign up for e-mail updates - www.SupportCAKids.com. It only takes a few moments and we can promise that you will find the updates useful.

The future of our children and the State of California depends upon our ability to organize and deliver a clear message to those Legislators who allow lobbyists and special interests to save their budgets while our children lose out.

Thank you for being a part of Support CA Kids!
