First Thing First!
The following must be completed before you may mentor at any of our school sites:
1. Fill out Mentor Application
2. Attend two hour mentor training (scheduled at your convenience)
3. Complete a Live Scan Fingerprint Clearance through the California Dept. of Justice conducted through the Twin Rivers Police Department (fingerprinting is scheduled during your mentor training and is FREE). The following items are necessary when going in for fingerprinting:
a. California Driver's Licence
b. Social Security number
c. Request for Live Scan Service Application (provided for you)
AND Megan's Law Screening: Megan's law is a database of over 78,000 sexual offenders and we plug in our mentor's names to double check any criminal history.
5. Identification Badge: Upon fingerprinting, screening, and TB clearances you will receive a photo ID badge identifying you as an official HR school volunteer the day that you meet your mentee.
