Board meetings are typically held on the first and third Tuesday of each month, beginning at 7:00pm. Please click on the agenda below for time and location of an upcoming meeting.
We encourage parents and community members to attend the board meetings. A copy of the Board agenda is available for inspection and review at the temporary Twin Rivers Unified School District Office (3200 Howard Street, Building #354, McClellan, CA 95652) during regular business hours and on this page of the TRUSD web site within 72 hours of a scheduled meeting. Information on the meetings is also available by calling the Superintendent's Office at (916) 566-1600 ext. 1338.
Visitors can bring up items of interest under "hearings of parties" at the start of each board meeting. However, the board cannot legally act on new items presented by the public until the next regular meeting.
In addition to informational reports and discussion of board policies, board meetings may include student musical performances, slide presentations on special programs and oral reports on new activities.

The Twin Rivers Unified School District Board of Trustees was elected to lead our new district on November 6, 2007. Each of our trustees lives in one of seven areas of our district, but is elected by and represents all seven areas.
Janis Green has lived and worked in the north area for more than 25 years. In addition to serving on the Rio Linda School District Board of Trustees for six years, Janis worked as a volunteer parent and paraeducator while her children were were students. She also served on the PTA, Site Council, and the District Advisory Committee. Janis works for the California Dental Association in the Administrative Services Department as an Administrative Assistant to the Chief Administrative Officer.
A product of our local schools, Michelle Rivas attended Frontier Elementary and Foothill High School. She began volunteer work when her oldest son enrolled at Frontier Elementary School in 1990. She has also served on School Site Councils at the elementary, middle and high school levels. Michelle served on the Rio Linda School District Board of Trustees for two years before her election to the TRUSD Board. She works for the California Dental Association in the Public Policy Division as the Manager of External Affairs and Legislative Advocate.
Alecia Chasten is a product of the Rio Linda and Grant School Districts and has resided in the North Highlands area for more than 40 years. A 20-year state employee, Alecia is also a small business owner of a company providing financial consulting services. In addition, Alecia has been an active parent volunteer as PTA President, Vice-President, School Site Councils, and a Board Director with the North Highlands Recreation and Park District
Also a product of our local public schools, Bob Bastian graduated from Grant High School and worked in maintenance for the Rio Linda School District while attending Sacramento State College. After obtaining his teaching credential, he taught at Lincoln High School before coming back to teach in Rio Linda. Bob retired from Rio Linda in 1994. As an active school and community volunteer, he has served on the Rio Linda Elverta Chamber of Commerce and the Westside PTA, as well as president of the Rio Linda Education Association (RLEA). Bob served on the Rio Linda Union School District Board of Trustees for ten years before he was elected to the TRUSD Board in 2007.
Cortez Quinn is a U.C. Davis graduate and serves as the Chief of Staff for Sacramento County Supervisor Roger Dickinson. Cortez is an active community volunteer, serving on the board of Sacramento ENRICHES and Rebuilding Together as well as representing Supervisor Dickinson at a number of community events and activities.
Roger Westrup served the North Sacramento School District as a Board Member for three terms before his election to the TRUSD in 2007. Roger is married and a proud father of six children that have all attended school in the district. A state employee and adult education teacher; Roger is also an active community volunteer, Boy Scout leader, church youth leader, and parent volunteer.
A small business owner, Linda Fowler served as a member of the North Sacramento School District Board for more than 30 years. A former auditor with the Office of the Attorney General, Linda raised several children in the north area and volunteered regularly in our schools when they were students.
